Noto started as one student's messy pile of lecture notes, and it quietly grew into a whole studio. This is the story of how an owl learned to study.
It started, like most things, with a deadline. A desk covered in four notebooks, a phone full of screenshots, and the sinking feeling that the econ notes were in one of them. Probably.
The first version of Noto was almost embarrassingly small: a single note you could actually search. No folders, no flashcards, no owl. Just one page that didn't lose itself.
Then, because no one studies with only a page, it grew. A timer, because studying without a clock is just sitting near books. Flashcards, because rereading isn't remembering. Revision sheets, a calendar, a cloud for the PDFs you swear you'll read. Each addition came from the same question: "what did I wish I had last Tuesday at 1am?"
Somewhere along the way the notebook stopped being a notebook and started being a studio. We kept the name anyway. It felt right.
From one desk to one studio.
Late one night
A desk. Four notebooks. Zero memory of which one had the econ notes.
A few weeks later
The first note. Just text, but it was searchable, and that felt like magic.
Then it grew a timer
Because studying without a clock is just sitting near books.
Then flashcards moved in
And quizzes. And revision sheets. The notebook was becoming a studio.
Today
One owl. One desk. Everything a student needs, in one place.

Every notebook needs a guardian. Ours is a small owl who lives in the corner of your screen and has opinions.
Will outlast your last-minute cram session. Possibly judging.
So you don't have to. That's the whole point.
Handwriting welcome. Sticky notes encouraged. Perfection optional.
Suggests flashcards before you ask. Never pings you at 3am.
We're not proud. We are, however, relatable.
Reorganize highlighters by mood
Color-code tabs we'll never open
Watch a 40-min 'study with me' video
Rewrite the to-do list. Again.
Deep-clean the desk. At midnight.
'Just one' episode.
We built Noto so the one thing you actually open is the thing that helps.
Less a feature list, more a point of view.
Hand-drawn, messy, yours. Not a sterile template.
Not silly. Just human. A sticky note can change a whole semester.
So we made one you'll want to.
Notes today, revision tonight, exams next month. We design for all three.
The important numbers. And some silly ones.
1 owl on staff
Who, frankly, does most of the work.
0 ads, ever
We don't sell your notes or your attention.
∞ sticky notes
Virtual ones. The desk stays clean.
Lots of coffee
We lost count. The owl switched to tea.
Your notes, your flashcards, your focus. One desk, one owl, no clutter. Pull up a chair.
